Our Story
Sapidar Academy began in 2023 with in-person English classes for Afghan girls. Given the current circumstances in the country, our lessons have since moved online — so every student can keep learning, safely, from wherever she is.

Our Programs
Comprehensive English courses designed to help Afghan girls build confidence and achieve fluency.
Our curriculum covers all four language skills — speaking, listening, reading, and writing — along with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and real-life communication.
A supportive environment where students practice English while discussing meaningful topics together.
Every student is encouraged to participate, express her ideas, and improve her communication skills.
Designed for Afghan girls who are unable to continue their formal education, our GED Preparation Program will prepare students for the four GED subjects:
Students will receive comprehensive lessons, practice tests, study materials, academic guidance, and exam preparation support.
Our goal is to help students earn an internationally recognized high school equivalency credential, opening pathways to higher education and career opportunities.
Scholarships
Cost should never be the reason a student can't learn. Sapidar Academy offers both partial and full scholarships to students who need support to join our programs. Fill out the short application form to get started.

About the name
In Dari, سپیدار — sapidar — is the poplar tree: tall, fast-growing, and known for standing straight and steady even in hard ground and harsh wind.
We chose the name because it describes exactly what we see in our students. Since 2023, Sapidar Academy has given Afghan girls a place to keep growing through education, at a time when that access can't be taken for granted — with dedicated teachers, real course materials, and a virtual classroom built for them, reachable from anywhere.
Every lesson, every book handed out, every level completed is one more ring added to that growth.
